I have over 30 years' experience in solving research problems in lifesciences and medicine using statistical, mathematical and computational methods. I possess a good grasp of application areas like immunology, evolutionary systematics, population genetics, genomics, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery and drug development. Apart from providing scientific directions to projects, my management skills include setting up suitable computational laboratories for given research needs, and recruitment, management and assessment of Bioinformatics and drug discovery scientists. I have experience of teaching Biostatistics courses for biology students and senior scientists, as well as guiding student dissertations. I have experience in management and assessment of drug discovery projects from initiation to development, with go-no go decision making at different stages. I will be happy to provide scientific advisory and management services, as also continuing education of scientists in specialised areas like biostatistics, bioinformatics etc.
